1. Start with the exact room.
Each room profile identifies a hotel and a named room type. We prefer the hotel’s room page and official FAQ over a general hotel description. Facilities in another room type are not automatically assigned to the room we list.
2. Keep important distinctions.
We distinguish an in-room washer from shared laundry, a kitchen from an unconfirmed kitchenette, room capacity from an additional child sharing a bed, and separate sleeping places from an assumption that people will share a double bed.
Published descriptions of bunk beds, sofa beds and futons are retained. We do not certify that a bed arrangement is suitable for a particular child.
3. Show uncertainty.
When official sources disagree or a feature is not clear, the field stays unconfirmed. The room finder uses a conservative capacity rule and counts every traveller as a guest. Bed-sharing exceptions are explained separately.
4. Keep sources and dates visible.
Room profiles and guides include the official sources used and a check date. A check date means the cited information was reviewed; it does not mean every booking date or rate plan was tested.
5. Separate research from reservations.
Our filters compare room characteristics. They do not retrieve live availability or guarantee a price. The booking provider confirms dates, room names, occupancy, payment and cancellation terms.
6. Maintain one record per room.
Room facts are kept in a shared source file. An updated record is used by the directory, comparison tool and room profile. Guides are reviewed when the facts they rely on change. New findings should be verified before publication.
